1000-C1 Ceramic Adhesive
1000-C1 Ceramic Adhesive
1000-C1 Ceramic Adhesive
Normal setting Cement based Ceramic Adhesive Mortar.
General Information
AREAS OF UTILIZATION
  • It is used on surfaces such as concrete, screed, plaster with low water absorption, and for bonding low-size ceramics to horizontal and vertical floors indoors.
  • Ceramic area on indoor floor ≤ 750 cm2
  • Ceramic area on interior wall ≤ 500 cm2
ADVANTAGES OF THE PRODUCT
    • It is ready to use, and it can be adjusted to the desired consistency by simply mixing with water.
    • It prevents loss of labor and time with its ease of application.
PREPARATION OF THE SURFACE
    • The surface should be cleared of residues such as oil, dirt, paint that will prevent adhesion.
    • The surface should be clean, dry, smooth and in good condition.
    • Cracked and hollow areas on the surface should be repaired with YurtKim Repair Mortar least 24 hours in advance.
    • The dusty surface behind the ceramic should be moistened and wiped clean.
    • In applications above 30°C, the surface should be moistened.
    • In very hot and windy weather, the surface should be saturated with water.
    • On floors with high water absorption, YurtKim Priming Coating EK220 should be used before the application and the bonding process should be continued by waiting for it to dry.
    • During the application, the ambient temperature should be between +5 °C and +35 °C.
APPLICATION
    • 25 kg YurtKim Ceramic Adhesive is poured onto 5,5-6,5 liters of clean water and mixed with a low-speed mixer until no lumps remain. The prepared mortar is rested for 5 minutes to mature and is used again after mixing for 1-2 minutes.
    • The mortar is applied to the entire surface in circular movements with a combed trowel, which is selected according to the size of the ceramic and the structure of the surface.
    • For surfaces and ceramics with high water absorption, Ceramic Adhesive should be applied to the back of the coating material to achieve double-sided bonding.
    • During the application, it should be ensured that YurtKim Ceramic Adhesive does not form crusting on the surface; if such crusting has occurred, that part should be combed again, and if there is excessive drying in the mortar, it should be scraped from the surface and reapplied.
    • The coating material is placed on the surface by adjusting the joint gaps.
    • By tapping lightly with a rubber-tipped mallet, the coating material is placed on the surface.
    • Joint filling process should be initiated at least 24 hours after bonding.
